It’s my first time joining in Me Made May, because before I didn’t feel that I have enough in my me made wardrobe. I’ve written about my full pledge for the month here.
I started the challenge wearing my most recent make. My Sew Over It ‘Ultimate Culottes’ in bug crepe fabric from Sewisfaction. My top is RTW which worked out as a good colour match. I will write more about this make soon …..
Another work day, so my Sew Over It ‘Alex shirt’. I’m chuffed with this make, and I hope one day to make a dress version in crisp cotton and wear it pulled in with a belt 😍
The warmer weather is starting to arrive so I wore my Sew Over It Vintage Shirt Dress. It was an early make, I think 2 years ago and I still love it today. It’s made in lightweight cotton and I love to nip in the waist with a skinny belt.
Summer finally feels like it has arrived and my go to pattern is the True Bias ‘Ogden Cami’. I made this after seeing so many online and I wonder why it took me so long to try it out! I made this Ogden from fabric scraps that had been in my stash for almost 2 years.
I love the Agnes dress and I had a thought to try an Agnes/Freya combination to give a flattering skirt shape to the dress. This fabric is from Coles in Nottingham that I picked up during the SewNotts meet up. I will be writing more about this make soon in a blog post …..
Today I’m double me-made. This Ogden is made from some fabric I picked up from a little fabric shop in Wassenaar in Holland a couple of years ago when we went on a family holiday. I held onto this fabric waiting for the perfect pattern and I found it with the Ogden Cami. I wore it with a Sew Over It skirt which I wrote more about in this post.
Week 1 of Me-Made May and my very first. It’s been great looking at everyone’s makes each day online. Im looking forward to week 2.
